1.   Understanding the Basics: Students should gain a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles of dental photography, including the importance of the Exposure Triangle and White Balance in photography, standard and creative dental documentation, treatment planning, patient communication, and case presentation.

2.   Technical Skills: Students should develop technical skills related to camera settings, exposure, lighting techniques, and patient positioning. They should learn how to adjust camera settings (e.g., aperture, shutter speed, ISO) to capture clear and detailed images and adjust the White Balance to achieve optimal results.

3.   Mastering Equipment: Students should become proficient in using the necessary equipment for dental photography, such as cameras, lenses, flashes, mirrors, retractors, and other accessories. They should learn how to select the appropriate equipment for different scenarios and and needs, as well as how to properly handle the equipment.

4.   Intraoral Photography: Students should learn how to capture high-quality images of teeth and gingivae using mirrors and retractors and the appropriate camera setup. They should practice proper framing, focal length setting, and techniques to capture various views and details.
